To alleviate grid congestion by investigating how vehicles with bi-directional charging capabilities can be used to form economically feasible (semi-)independent renewable energy grids for medium-to-large scale facilities.
Energy demands and in the same manner, renewable energy production, are projected to further increase in the coming years. The current grid network is ill-equipped to deal with this increase and the negative effects can already be seen.
Implementing bi-directional charging technology of electric vehicles as an energy storage system on a large scale in order to form (semi-)independent grids.
